Jon's Music
Why "Jon's Music" might you ask??? Well, because music is my passion. I've been playing and writing music nearly all my life. This is why I am "Jonthecomposer". I speak and people do not listen. I work and yet, I am poor (even though not in spirit). I fail just like everyone else. But, I have been blessed by God. He has given me a wonderful talent. When I play, it feels like home. Sometimes, while I play, I don't even feel pain. Amidst all the trouble, all the failure, all my downfalls, music is and will always continue to be a part of my very being.

This tune was my most recent. The inspiration came from the new six string bass that I got. It was unlike any other bass I have ever had. It almost played itself. I even did the solo section in one take!!!

This one was inspired by Bullmark and Interstate '76.

I created this song in response to a really cool bass tone I got on my buddy's Line6 bass POD. Check it out.

This song has a neat story because it was created almost ten years ago as a midi file on a Roland Dr.5. It had no melody, only a groove and chords. I decided to record it using real instruments. I worked with it a while and came up with the guitar melody. I was actually pretty surprised with how it turned out.

This song is kind of strange. It started as a bass etude. I then decided to harmonize it on a midi sequencer. The more I got it satisfactory, the more it sounded Russian. It seemed to evoke a definite picture in my mind and thus, "The Russian Mouse".

This song was written as a tribute to a Christian friend I have. Her name is Sara. I think this song captures her gentle spirit and light disposition. Recently, I revamped this tune. I added a part, changed feel and instrumentation, and made the record quality ALOT better. Ahhhh, Paris! Hope you enjoy.
