Ok, first off, what in the world is going on here????????? There's a little town named Dover, PA where the scientists are not doing their jobs. They are AGAIN not looking at all the facts and claiming theory as truth. GIVE ME A BREAK!
I heard a man interviewed on the news as saying that it was just another way to put religion back into school. (To circumnavigate the point for just a moment........ how is that a BAD thing?) The teachers there must read a statement that says that Darwin's theory of evolution is JUST A THEORY ..... AND that in order to do the correct scientific thing (which is to observe and decide from all the facts... negating what is theory as truth) the kids must ALSO CONSIDER THE POSSIBILITY of intelligent design. Since when has it been a bad thing to state a theory as a theory? Come on people. This goes right back to the mathematical reflexive property: basically it is what it is.
I also heard that man say that a "supernatural being" could be an "alien" as far as anyone knows. Well, if the teaching is not Christian, then YES it must be. But, the way this man put it is that either "now you are teaching from the Enquirer or you are teaching religion". This is EXACTLY the type of attitude we need to convey our scientists and teachers as having. I guess all the scientists and teachers think they are just SO RIGHT in saying that ANYTHING-even the smallest, most obscure, reference to an intelligent being AUTOMATICALLY means that IT IS RELIGION. There is no separation from even BELIEF and RELIGION (according to them). People, I only wish you knew how many levels this was wrong on.
Firstly, saying that any reference to an intelligent being is automatically religious is to say that any reference to any normal human is also religious. (associative property; religion is based solely on intelligent beings, humans are intelligent beings, therefore, religions are based on humans)
Secondly, Darwinism IS ONLY THEORY. Sorry guys, but you make a religion out of this theory by forcing it (by law) on those who choose to accept the possibility of intelligent design. Remember, looking at ALL THE POSSIBILITIES IS NOT BAD SCIENCE.
Thirdly, since when did belief = religion? I just LOVE when people speak phenomonologically (and make leaps of logic and faith)..... especially about legal and educational issues.
Fourthly, you'll notice that people who are not really interested in truthful matters (but moreover there OWN egotistical views) are the ones who freely make fun of others or what they believe in. Yep, how many Christians make fun of others? How many athiests make fun of others? You see, athiests CLAIM to be smarter and more scientific and yet, they cannot even follow their own guidelines when it comes to a discussion. (i.e. stating FACTS, speaking nonphenomonologically, looking at all possibilities seriously, etc...)
In closing, these people who do not accept the idea of intelligent design are JUST PLAIN WRONG. They can have the most degrees, certificates, awards, do the most amazing work, be the nicest person, make the funniest jokes, or believe with all their heart........ and it means absolutely nothing.
I have just one piece of advice for these people: don't waste my or your time.
Peace and axle grease.......... Jonthecomposer
